The Global Initiative for Food Systems Leadership partners with external stakeholders to create a governance structure based on the concepts of shared leadership and collective action. Our Stakeholders provide strategic options and subject matter expertise to enhance our leadership programs through two venues:
Members of the Advisory Council consist of global food systems subject matter experts and leaders from industry, government, academia, intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations. Members meet formally twice a year, supplemented with ongoing virtual meetings. Members work in an advisory role, providing assistance in fund raising, leadership development, networking, programmatic advisement, and/or the provision of expertise in the formation of policy and the building of communities of practice.
